About the Role
This role is based within HSBC Global Markets, focusing on the front-office functions of trade execution, pricing, market making, and risk management within specific limits. The position is integral to supporting corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including stock exchange activities, shareholder engagements, and legal frameworks governing financial markets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute trades efficiently and accurately for designated clients in the assigned region.
- Offer pricing information to sales teams and clients adhering to the Bank's pricing policies.
- Manage risk exposures while complying with the Bank's risk appetite guidelines.
- Meet revenue, hit ratio, and profitability goals established by senior management.
- Oversee the firm's cash flow, fixed income portfolio, and trading risks in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform reviews of daily and monthly trading reports as required.
- Support other trading desks when necessary.
- Ensure all transactions are conducted fairly, maintaining market integrity and aligning with HSBC’s Code of Conduct.
- Complete mandatory Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training along with post-training assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, or a related field.
- Possession of an ACI dealing certificate is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial products and market dynamics.
- Strong foundation in mathematics.
- Capability to manage stressful and challenging circumstances maturely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across multiple teams including trading desks, sales, and back-office units.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong cross-functional collaboration.
