Trade Sales Representative

Overview

Plumbing World, a well-established Kiwi-owned plumbing merchant with over 60 years of experience and 56 branches nationwide, is seeking a Trade Sales Representative for its Wellington location. This permanent full-time role involves active participation in a busy trade counter environment, assisting with inventory management, order processing, and offering excellent customer solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations at the trade counter, serving trade customers efficiently and professionally.
• Support inventory functions including cycle counts, picking, and packing customer orders.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operation of branch activities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A positive and solution-oriented attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Preferable plumbing or trade experience, though not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong customer service and sales capabilities.
• Excellent administrative skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure using sound judgment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Hold a full and clean New Zealand driver's licence; forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Presentable with excellent interpersonal communication.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Full-time hours, 40 to 42.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday plus rostered Saturdays.
• Specific start and finish hours to be finalized during the interview process.
