About the Role
Join Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland, New Zealand’s premier university, as a Timetabling and Enrolment Adviser. You will play an essential behind-the-scenes role, ensuring academic timetables optimize the student experience and that enrolment processes operate efficiently, enabling students easy course access without unnecessary obstacles.
This position involves managing both timetabling and enrolment tasks, using your analytical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities to interpret complex data, resolve issues proactively, and support a smooth academic workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating academic timetables that optimize space utilization and enhance student satisfaction.
- Coordinate with faculties to ensure that teaching demands, room bookings, and staff availability are accurately incorporated.
- Establish and maintain enrolment controls and effectively troubleshoot enrolment-related problems.
- Manage and resolve timetable and enrolment challenges promptly.
- Support enrolment activities and assist faculties with complex enrolment cases.
- Collaborate closely with Programme Advisers, academic personnel, and university service teams.
- Monitor enrolment trends and update systems for better accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing initiatives to improve processes, systems, and service quality.

Required Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Approximately 3 to 4 years of experience providing excellent customer service within complex environments.
- Familiarity working with diverse clients or stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting and applying intricate information.
- Comfortable using multiple digital systems and tools efficiently.
- Proven collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset focused on service excellence.
Experience in large organizations or knowledge of PeopleSoft (CS9), Syllabus Plus, or other timetabling systems is an advantage but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary ranges from $73,400 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
The University offers flexible work practices including remote options and flexible hours, a company superannuation scheme up to 6.75%, and five weeks of annual leave.
