Role overview
Aramark is looking for a motivated team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. In this position, you will support food service operations by keeping dishware, equipment, and surrounding work areas clean and sanitary. The role is an entry point into the company, with room to build your career over time.
Responsibilities can shift depending on the client site, operational needs, and local requirements.
Key duties
- Help keep guests satisfied by washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, kitchen tools, and related equipment.
- Keep the dish area, three-compartment sink, and nearby workspaces neat and clean.
- Make sure cleaning and kitchen equipment stays in working order and report problems to management.
- Handle light maintenance and custodial work as needed.
- Provide friendly customer service and maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with guests, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Follow company safety rules as well as food safety and sanitation standards.
- Protect company property and assets.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of sanitation practices is required.
- Ability to follow safety steps is important because the job involves exposure to hazardous cleaning chemicals.
- Must be open to working flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- The position may involve physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended standing, and walking.
- Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment may be required.
