Test Analyst

Overview

We are recruiting a Test Analyst to join our team full-time on-site in Berlin, Germany. This entry to mid-level position is designed for a professional passionate about ensuring the functionality, reliability, and quality of software applications through comprehensive testing and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios aligning with functional and technical specifications.
• Conduct various testing phases including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Detect, log, track, and communicate software defects using bug tracking platforms.
• Coordinate with developers, analysts, and product managers to refine requirements and resolve issues.
• Evaluate test data to present clear insights on software quality and performance.
• Engage in test planning, strategy formulation, and review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with quality benchmarks before software releases.
• Perform verification tests on resolved defects to confirm fixes.
• Contribute to automation testing projects when feasible.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of tests, plans, and records.
• Operate within Agile or Waterfall workflows effectively.
• Support continual enhancement of quality assurance processes and testing protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience or familiarity with software testing, quality assurance, IT support, or related technical roles.
• Sound knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Proficiency in manual testing methods and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Basic understanding of automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman is advantageous.
• Fundamental knowledge of databases, APIs, and web/mobile technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective documentation and issue reporting skills.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Preferred educational qualification is a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
