Technology Architect - Software & Systems

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to lead the software architecture strategy, technology selections, and engineering coordination within Service Delivery. As a key member of the Architecture & Technology Board, you will ensure the creation of consistent, scalable, and high-quality software solutions, empowering engineering teams to develop robust, reusable, and production-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and promote software architecture frameworks, design guidelines, and best practices.
• Architect scalable, resilient, and secure software systems.
• Ensure all designs adhere to enterprise architecture principles and guardrails.
• Assess and recommend appropriate technology stacks, tools, and frameworks.
• Advocate for reuse and standardization across different platforms and applications.
• Prevent technology fragmentation by enforcing consistent technology choices.
• Provide guidance to Service Engineering teams on architectural patterns, coding standards, and solution design.
• Support development of cloud-native, microservices-based, and API-centric solutions.
• Champion adoption of DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD and modern development workflows.
• Participate in Architecture Forum meetings to review and approve technical designs.
• Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks and design weaknesses.
• Develop architectural roadmaps and propose alternative solutions to enhance reuse of architectural assets.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects and AI Architects to align solution designs.
• Work across teams to leverage existing frameworks, platforms, and components effectively.
• Keep updated with the latest technology trends, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Engage with engineering teams to promote code quality through standards, code reviews, automated testing, and modern tooling.
• Lead proof of concept initiatives to evaluate new technology capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in software architecture and complex system design.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on programming skills in Java and Python.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps concepts, CI/CD pipeline implementations, and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in applying design and integration patterns as well as enforcing application security standards.
• Capability to ensure non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, and resilience are met.
• Ability to mentor and influence engineering teams in design and architecture decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms and middleware solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML application integration and patterns.
• Cloud, Kubernetes, or Architecture framework certifications.
• Knowledge of telecom domain preferred.

Education & Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) in any specialization is required.
