Technical Engineer - Integrated Physical Security Systems

About the Role

Lantern Systems Co. Ltd is seeking a seasoned Technical Engineer specializing in Integrated Physical Security Systems to provide expert technical leadership and support throughout project lifecycles in Saudi Arabia. This role involves guiding engineering and site teams, ensuring adherence to HCIS standards, client specifications, and industry benchmarks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams during the execution phases of projects.
• Critically assess engineering designs, technical submissions, bills of quantities (BOQs), and implementation strategies.
• Oversee activities related to installation, testing, commissioning, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and the final project handovers.
• Diagnose and resolve challenging technical problems.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure all engineering outputs align with HCIS mandates and project requirements.
• Facilitate integration of security systems with enterprise and third-party platforms.

Required Expertise

• Deep understanding of HCIS requirements and physical security technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience with systems such as Access Control, CCTV & Video Management, Intrusion Detection, and Perimeter Protection.
• Preferred experience with Siemens SiPass Integrated system; familiarity with LenelS2, Gallagher, Genetec, or Nedap enterprise platforms is advantageous.
• Competence integrating security setups with HRMS, Active Directory, Identity Management, Oracle, SAP, Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, PSIM Platforms, and third-party APIs.
• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing/switching, managed switches, fiber optics, firewalls, NAT, VPN, and network segmentation.
• Experience ensuring high availability and redundancy, and working with Windows Server, SQL Server, virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, and Stratus everRun.
• Knowledge of physical security cybersecurity, including network hardening, secure communications, authentication methods, certificate management, and compliance with Saudi Aramco cybersecurity standards and HCIS cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or closely related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience managing integrated security systems projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Willingness and ability to support projects across multiple locations within Saudi Arabia.
