About the role

Centurion is looking for an experienced Dayforce System Administrator to join its People and Capability team. The role is preferably based at the Perth Airport depot in Western Australia, although applicants from anywhere in Australia may be considered if their background is suitable.

Role overview

This is a newly established position focused on keeping Dayforce running smoothly for the business. You will support users at the frontline, improve how the system is configured, and help ensure Dayforce is implemented, maintained, and optimised effectively across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Configure, test, maintain, and support Dayforce modules, including system settings, workflows, and business rules.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and permissions across the organisation.
  • Protect data quality by running audits, checking data accuracy, and creating custom reports and queries.
  • Coordinate testing for regular system releases, legal or legislative updates, and new feature rollouts.
  • Handle escalated issues, help employees with system-related queries, and work with Dayforce Support to resolve problems.

Experience and skills

  • Strong hands-on background in consulting on and configuring Dayforce workforce management, ideally across both project work and ongoing business-as-usual support.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply complex industrial agreements.
  • Experience setting up or supporting pay rules, entitlements, schedules, accruals, allowances, overtime, and penalty payments.
  • Solid understanding of workforce and payroll processes, with the ability to convert business needs into system outcomes.
  • Proven capability to diagnose, investigate, and fix complicated technical issues.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with both technical teams and non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to deliver both operational and project objectives.
  • Commitment to system security, availability, and performance in line with organisational policies and government standards.

Why join Centurion

  • Competitive pay and benefits, including discounts on health insurance.
  • Opportunities to progress your career and build professionally.
  • A supportive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • The chance to work for a business that values safety, integrity, and excellence.
