Supply Chain Platform Manager

About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Platform Manager to contribute to the Fleet Time Engineering (FTE) ship repair and maintenance programmes. This role is based in Portsmouth, England, and requires working on site four days per week. The initial contract duration is 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of supply chain operations across intricate ship repair and maintenance projects.
• Create and oversee material supply plans and procurement strategies to support project requirements.
• Drive supply chain performance, proactively manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and engage effectively with stakeholders.
• Track programme key performance indicators (KPIs), budget adherence, and delivery outcomes.
• Provide assistance in programme bidding processes, reviews, and governance activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven track record managing supply chain functions in complex programmes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience in defence, maritime, or engineering sectors is highly desirable.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder communication and engagement.
• Solid understanding of commercial considerations and project management principles.

Additional Information

• Hourly pay rate: £28 under PAYE or £37.61 via umbrella company.
• Work schedule: Four days per week on-site in Portsmouth.
