Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

As a Supply Chain Manager at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Friedrichshafen, you will manage projects and coordinate operational procurement activities within an international context. You will ensure on-time sourcing and delivery monitoring of assemblies and components under optimal conditions for innovative products. Your role includes actively managing supplier capacity assurance aligned with planning accuracy and validity, optimizing procurement scheduling to balance supply security against inventory levels, and evaluating suppliers logistically to aid development initiatives and executive management discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project management and coordinate tasks in operational purchasing on an international scale.
• Ensure timely procurement and monitor deadlines for assemblies and components at favorable conditions.
• Proactively guide supplier capacity assurance, ensuring plausibility and compliance with planned forecasts.
• Optimize disposition processes balancing supply security with stock status.
• Assess suppliers' logistics and support supplier development initiatives in preparation for board-level meetings.
• Coordinate scheduling for technical changes and launch of production series.
• Implement data-driven and innovative improvements to existing supplier structures.
• Initiate special measures in case of performance disruptions and quality defects to maintain delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, technician qualification, or commercial training in operational procurement with several years of professional experience.
• Experience in supply chain management involving multi-tier procurement chains.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Structured, independent working approach with a technical understanding.
• Fluent in German and good command of English.
