About the Role

The Student Experience Assistant at the London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT), a partner institution of Plymouth Marjon University, plays an essential role in supporting and enhancing the student experience. Reporting to the Student Experience Lead, this position helps coordinate student engagement programs, manage student voice forums, support feedback processes, and aid regulatory compliance efforts including Office for Students (OfS) readiness to foster a positive academic environment consistent with partnership standards.

  • Assist in organizing and administering Student Voice Committee, Student Interest Panel, and Student Interest Committee activities including scheduling monthly operational and quarterly strategic meetings.

  • Facilitate recruitment and engagement of Class Representatives and nurture communication between students, faculty, and senior management.

  • Encourage student involvement in enrichment and community-building activities, collaborating with academic staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide first-contact support for student queries, escalate complex cases, and liaise with academic and support staff for issue resolution, while respecting confidentiality.
