Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Stock Assistant to join our Melbourne Fashion Boutique. This role is vital in supporting the boutique by ensuring precise inventory management and assisting with after-sales services, particularly aiding the coordination of the repairs process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all stock requests and transfers comprehensively between boutiques, distribution centre, and Head Office Buying Office.
- Support floor staff daily by resolving stock-related queries, delivering stock to the sales floor, and replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Handle unpacking of stock deliveries and transfers from other locations and the Distribution Centre.
- Conduct thorough physical stock checks and verify stock deliveries and transfers against manifests.
- Report any discrepancies in stock to the Head of Boutique promptly.
- Collaborate with the boutique team to manage stock rotation protocols effectively.
- Assist management and team with stock take activities and cycle count procedures.
- Coordinate with boutique administration and client care teams regarding the status of customer repair items, including outgoing repairs, repair updates, completion notices, and spare parts arrivals.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a similar stock or inventory role preferably within luxury or high-end fashion retail.
- Exceptional organizational abilities paired with keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; experienced in using point of sale and RFID systems to generate reports and manage stock effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Maintains impeccable grooming and personal presentation according to Chanel's standards.
