Job Overview
We are looking for a proficient Stamping Simulation Engineer to join our design team located in Pune. The role centers on utilizing Pam Stamp software for simulating and refining press tool designs, aiming to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This position allows collaboration with seasoned design, manufacturing, and tryout teams.
Primary Duties
- Execute comprehensive feasibility assessments of stamping processes.
- Create and apply advanced CAE models for simulation purposes.
- Conduct thorough simulations and detailed analyses of stamping operations.
- Effectively communicate findings and suggestions derived from simulation results.
- Work closely with design and tooling teams to support development efforts.
- Assist in validating and optimizing tool designs through simulation feedback.
- Keep updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines required; a Master's degree focusing on simulation, computational mechanics, or metal forming is preferred.
- At least five years' professional experience as a Simulation Engineer specializing in sheet metal stamping or press tool manufacturing.
- Minimum three years’ practical experience using Pam Stamp software.
- Familiarity with other CAE software such as Autoform, LS-DYNA, or ANSYS is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in CAD software, ideally Catia V5.
- Expertise in pre-processing and post-processing for finite element analysis workflows.
- In-depth comprehension of sheet metal forming processes and deformation behavior.
- Solid grasp of FEA principles as applied to sheet metal forming simulations.
- Competence in material modeling techniques for metal forming.
- Exceptional analytical abilities for interpreting intricate simulation data.
- Experience optimizing stamping methods to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
