About the Role and Team
At Nike, the Data, Analytics, and Intelligence (DAI) group leverages data and technology to serve athletes worldwide by constructing secure, scalable, and intelligent platforms that drive data-informed decisions and personalized Nike experiences.

Candidate Profile
- Holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or possesses equivalent experience.
- Has a minimum of 1 year of professional software engineering practice.
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Is proficient in writing reliable, maintainable, and scalable Python code.
- Experience or familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and UI frameworks like React or prototyping tools such as Streamlit is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps workflows.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), and developing large-scale cloud applications.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, CI/CD pipelines, observability standards (e.g., OpenTelemetry), monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk), and dependency managers like uv.
- Comfort with agile methodologies and test-driven development practices.
- Understanding of data structures, software architecture, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with enterprise authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth, OIDC, Okta, or similar single sign-on systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable AI-powered services supporting Nike's data infrastructure.
- Create SDKs, APIs, and microservices to enable enterprise-wide application integration.
- Develop AI/ML-driven workflows and large language model-powered business applications.
- Develop customer-facing applications and internal tools using modern front-end frameworks such as React or Streamlit to expose AI/ML functionality.
- Work collaboratively with product owners and cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver high-impact software solutions.
- Adopt and promote best practices in software development, data governance, and platform monitoring.
- Engage in code reviews by providing and integrating constructive input.
