Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Social Media Manager to join our team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, you will collaborate across social media and marketing teams to manage content, communications, and marketing for venues and concerts throughout Canada. Your duties will encompass organic social media posting, content creation, and customer interaction, including night-of-show content curation.
Key Responsibilities
- Publish content across multiple social channels while ensuring all required approvals are secured.
- Create and manage real-time event content on show nights, including evenings and weekends.
- Maintain and coordinate a dynamic content calendar across several platforms involving various stakeholders.
- Craft copy and pair it with visual assets tailored for different venues, genres, and social media channels.
- Proofread and verify content accuracy before publishing.
- Develop assets supporting venue and brand campaigns.
- Handle and escalate customer service inquiries and direct messages with promptness, including urgent situations during non-business hours.
- Collaborate closely with team members to devise and implement content strategies for key events and venues.
- Compile analytics reports regularly to evaluate performance and provide data-supported recommendations.
- Stay informed on emerging social media trends and opportunities aligned with Live Nation Canada's goals.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives and utilize project management tools and shared documentation effectively.
- Engage in special projects and perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience managing major platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Snap, and TikTok.
- Ability to work standard office hours (10AM–6PM) with flexibility for evenings and weekends as required by events.
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, Sprout Social, Canva, and similar tools.
- Basic skills in graphic design, including resizing and editing visuals for social media.
- Strong passion for live events, social media, and marketing.
- Excellent copywriting tailored for multiple formats, brands, and tones.
- Highly organized multitasker capable of managing numerous deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical ability to develop insightful reports and guide strategy with data.
- Creative, proactive self-starter comfortable in fast-paced environments with a collaborative mindset.
- Professional integrity, confidentiality, discretion, and a positive attitude.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position in Ontario is between $70,000 and $75,000 annually.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, occasional standing and walking within the office, and frequent use of hands for computer operation. It also entails lifting items up to 10 pounds. The setting is a typical office environment with normal noise levels.
