Job description
About the Role
As a Silicon Test Engineer at Lumilens in Singapore, you will play an integral role in developing and executing test processes for silicon photonics and semiconductor products. Working through every stage from initial characterization to final testing, you will ensure that products are robust, high-quality, and suitable for scalable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and optimize automated test systems (ATE) for silicon products, focusing on platforms like Advantest 93K and Teradyne.
- Translate both design and design-for-test (DFT) specifications into scalable test methodologies suitable for high-volume production.
- Facilitate new product introductions (NPI), ensuring products transition smoothly into mass production.
- Improve testing workflows, aiming to increase coverage, reduce testing time, and decrease associated costs.
- Analyze manufacturing test results for yield and performance, applying data-driven approaches for process improvement and troubleshooting failures to their root causes.
- Work collaboratively with design, product, and process engineers to embed testability and determine coverage, performance, and reliability standards from early in the development cycle.
- Develop and support high-speed or mixed-signal test hardware and ensure solutions are fit for photonics devices as complexity grows.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in semiconductor or silicon photonics test engineering.
- Proficiency in using ATE systems such as Advantest 93K and Teradyne.
- Solid foundation in silicon validation, production test flows, DFT/DFM, and experience with high-speed or mixed-signal environments.
- Hands-on skill with scripting or programming languages (C, C++, Python) and working in Linux-based technical environments.
- Track record of optimizing test metrics like time, coverage, yield, and cost in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex, interdisciplinary technical issues.
- Comfort working across multiple teams in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Perks & Benefits
- Highly competitive salary reflecting your experience.
- Comprehensive health insurance package.
- Exposure to innovative photonics technologies and advanced automation environments.
- Opportunities for cross-disciplinary learning and impact alongside engineering, product, and operational professionals.
- Collaborative work culture where all contributions are valued.
