About the Role
This position is based at Fortescue's Iron Bridge project located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people near Perth, Western Australia. The role follows a FIFO roster of 4 days on and 3 days off, departing from Perth.
Reporting directly to the Shutdown Superintendent, you will be tasked with preparing and managing the shutdown schedule for all major maintenance shutdown activities within the facility. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to a meaningful and impactful operational environment where delivering high-quality outcomes is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update comprehensive shutdown schedules using MS Project Gantt charts.
- Oversee coordination of shutdown scope and readiness to ensure important planning deadlines are met.
- Enhance maintenance scheduling, resource allocation, and outage timeframes to maximize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to verify accurate work scopes, promoting safe and dependable shutdowns.
- Assist shutdown execution activities including development of work packs, cost tracking, and post-shutdown review processes.
- Lead efforts to continually improve planning, scheduling, and execution procedures related to shutdowns.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven expertise in scheduling maintenance for fixed plant environments.
- Advanced proficiency with SAP and MS Project software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing maintenance cost control and budgeting tasks.
- Comprehensive understanding of fixed plant maintenance execution and strategic approaches.
- A mechanical or electrical trade background aligned with fixed plant operations is highly advantageous.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with effective time management capabilities.
