Job description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow solutions, focusing on IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) modules. This role is based in Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand, and involves working on various modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset, and Knowledge Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM capabilities.
  • Implement and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset, and Knowledge Management features.
  • Configure ITOM components such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
  • Develop and maintain system integrations using technologies like REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO, SCCM, and MID Server configurations.
  • Manage platform upgrades, cloning, performance optimization, security, and governance of the ServiceNow instances.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and DevOps groups to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Support Agile delivery methodologies and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow.
  • Proficient with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Asset Management, and Knowledge Management modules.
  • Strong technical knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, XML, and HTML.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems through REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON-based integrations, LDAP, Single Sign-On (SAML, OAuth), and SCCM.
  • Familiarity with configuring and administering MID Server for Discovery and integrations.
  • Knowledgeable about AngularJS, AJAX, Apache Jelly, and best practices for scalable ServiceNow implementations.
  • Experience managing ServiceNow platform instances including upgrades, cloning, administration, governance, performance tuning, security management, access control lists, groups, and user roles.
