Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect, develop, and oversee full-stack solutions that advance digital transformation initiatives within airport operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to create secure, scalable, and maintainable software.

This role requires autonomy, the ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed technical decisions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences throughout the project lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and users to gather business requirements, identify pain points, and understand operational constraints.
• Convert problem statements into detailed technical roadmaps, milestones, and executable software deliverables.
• Provide leadership in technical design for full-stack systems including frontend frameworks, backend APIs, data modeling, integrations, authentication, authorization, and deployment strategies.
• Make balanced architectural choices to optimize speed, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security.
• Create prototypes to validate concepts, assess user desirability, and minimize delivery risks.
• Produce clean, maintainable production-quality code, primarily utilizing TypeScript.
• Manage systems through all phases, including design, development, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
• Ensure systems are designed for production resilience, including handling failures, observability, operational readiness, and maintainability.
• Identify and remedy issues in applications, interfaces, integrations, and infrastructure promptly.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentoring to enhance code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Coach engineers and support staff to uplift the overall engineering standards of the team.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactively suggest technical improvements, reusable design patterns, and process enhancements to boost delivery quality and team efficiency.

Technical Skills Required

• Proven expertise in TypeScript for writing maintainable, production-grade application code.
• Experience building full-stack applications with the Next.js framework.
• Ability to develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces using Tailwind CSS.
• Knowledge in designing and working with document-based databases like MongoDB.
• Competence in Git workflows including branching, pull requests, and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in designing, consuming, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs.
• Experience in containerizing applications using Docker.
• Capabilities in implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including access control, roles, and permissions.
• Hands-on experience deploying and integrating applications with AWS cloud services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of five years’ relevant software engineering experience. Other qualifications may be considered with evidence of strong technical proficiency.
• Demonstrated strong skills in modern full-stack development with TypeScript.
• Experience in delivering production-grade systems involving APIs, data models, integrations, deployment, and operational maintenance.
• Understanding of secure software development best practices.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, logging, monitoring tools, and production issue remediation.
• Ability to independently make sound technical decisions despite incomplete information.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical details to diverse audiences.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native deployment techniques.
• Strong expertise in frontend, backend, or cloud engineering with the ability to operate across the entire stack.
