Senior Project Officer - Data Quality

About the Role

Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) acts as the independent regulator ensuring worker safety and health in Queensland's mining, quarrying, petroleum, gas, and explosives sectors. The Health Surveillance Unit within RSHQ is expanding its Data Quality team by recruiting a Senior Project Officer to provide leadership in the development and execution of data quality programs across various division assets. This is a permanent full-time position based in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

You will spearhead the design and implementation of data quality initiatives, leading your team to successfully deliver programs aligned with recognized information management standards.

Candidate Profile

We seek an experienced leader with proven expertise in:

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to handle performance evaluations and manage workloads effectively.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing data quality programs, preferably involving health-related data management.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written, capable of fostering collaboration and making informed decisions within a dynamic environment.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in SharePoint for collaborative content management.
• Experience with MS Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or similar customer relationship management platforms.
• Background in data transformation and statistical analysis utilizing MS Excel and statistical software packages.
