Senior Project Engineer - Onshore

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain constructive relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
• Address performance, scope, cost, and scheduling issues collaboratively and proactively with clients.
• Determine and realize the best technical and commercial outcomes appropriate for project conditions.
• Oversee design tasks, coordination of interdisciplinary information, and communications management.
• Be accountable for design bases, defined scopes, and delivery quality.
• Manage technical assessments, risk analysis and mitigation, review project outputs, control scope changes, manage variations, and strategize recovery, overseeing phases through construction, commissioning, and project handover.
• Develop detailed Project Scope Statements.
• Schedule, document, and ensure closure of design and technical review meetings' actions.
• Ensure timely client approvals to prevent delays and rework.
• Consistently maintain superior client satisfaction in delivering technical objectives.
• Lead disciplines to complete project scope within or under budget constraints.
• Promptly identify, quantify, and justify claims to the project manager.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Capability

• Promote and maintain a strong HSE focus within the team to comply with occupational, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Exemplify behaviors and business practices that align with leading global health, safety, and environmental performance cultures.

Education, Qualifications, and Accreditation

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university required.
• Mandatory Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) engineering accreditation or willingness to obtain it within probation.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or active pursuit of certification is advantageous.

Industry-Specific Experience

• Demonstrated extensive senior-level experience in onshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced engineering planning skills are required.
• Middle East experience is preferred.
• Background with international engineering consultancies beneficial.
• Proven interface management experience engaging statutory authorities and external stakeholders.
• Significant experience managing brownfield project environments.
• Required expertise in Pre-FEED and FEED project phases.
