Role Overview
This position is for a Senior Manager based in Chennai. The role calls for 15+ years of experience and is aimed at expanding business across transportation, 3PL, and contract logistics/warehousing. The focus is on converting prospects into long-term partnerships while strengthening the organization’s market presence in supply chain and logistics services.
Key Responsibilities
The selected professional will be expected to identify new business opportunities in transportation, third-party logistics, and warehousing-led contract logistics, build a strong pipeline of leads, and convert opportunities into profitable revenue streams. The role also involves sourcing and onboarding vendors and partners, developing durable customer and supplier relationships, and supporting sustained business expansion.
In addition, the incumbent should design and execute sales approaches, pricing structures, and negotiation strategies that support win rates and commercial outcomes. Close coordination with operations and supply chain teams will be important to ensure smooth delivery, along with consistent client engagement to maintain satisfaction and trust.
Required Skills and Experience
The role requires a strong understanding of supply chain operations, especially transportation and 3PL workflows. Candidates should bring proven capability in business development, customer relationship management, vendor management, pricing, and negotiation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with internal teams.
