Overview
Our multinational client is a prominent agribusiness leader delivering innovative and superior solutions within the agricultural and livestock sectors. They are looking for an experienced Senior HR & Admin Manager to lead HR functions and administrative activities across various production locations in Ghana. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role entails establishing structured HR protocols, ensuring thorough recordkeeping, fostering alignment between office and operational teams, and offering administrative and secretarial assistance to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee leave administration and track performance metrics effectively.
- Ensure accurate, organized, and compliant HR documentation is consistently maintained.
- Coordinate and oversee recruitment activities to support efficient talent acquisition.
- Facilitate onboarding procedures that promote smooth integration and retention of employees.
- Lead and supervise administrative personnel to maintain high standards of support services.
- Direct scheduling, communication, and documentation responsibilities managed by administrative teams.
- Continuously liaise with production facilities to maintain coherence between HR protocols and operational requirements.
- Administer staff insurance engagements, including registration, documentation handling, and follow-up processes.
- Ensure HR operations are effective, compliant with regulations, and mindful of cost efficiency.
- Assist in workforce planning activities and monitor HR-related expenditures for optimal control.
- Provide hands-on administrative and secretarial support to senior management as needed.
- Oversee daily administrative workflows ensuring structured, accountable, and efficient operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum of eight years' relevant experience in similar roles, including at least three years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM or CIPD are advantageous.
- Proven expertise managing HR processes including performance management, documentation integrity, and workforce planning.
- Experience working in multisite operational environments is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR policies, compliance, and procedural standards.
- Exemplary leadership and people management, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving competency.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems, payroll processes, and data administration.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately monthly, to sites outside Accra.
