About the Role
Located in Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, this role is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing shift production and planning for Soft Oil and Vanaspati packing operations. Reporting to the Manager of Packing, the candidate will lead a team of four and ensure efficient production and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule production activities while managing material balances including oil, chemicals, by-products, and control variable costs within approved budgets.
- Collaborate with commercial and purchasing departments to coordinate dispatches of co-products, by-products, and hazardous waste to ensure smooth operations.
- Work with the engineering department to implement preventive maintenance for maintaining optimal productivity.
- Maintain Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and lead safety initiatives within the plant.
- Develop charts and schedules, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare daily and monthly production reports.
- Monitor plant performance against targets, identify technical issues, and provide support for operational and maintenance troubleshooting.
- Oversee technical efficiency controls, enforce shop floor discipline, and manage worker interactions to resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure adherence to Good Housekeeping (GHK) practices throughout the plant.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of refinery operations including Physical and Chemical processes, Acid oil refining, Fractionation, Hydrogenation, CIE.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) operations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering or Oil Technology.
- 10 to 12 years of experience, preferably in the edible oil industry, specifically in packing operations.
