Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - NPD & Design (CAD Expert)

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer or Assistant Manager specializing in New Product Development (NPD) and design, with a strong focus on automotive plastic part design for a leading company based in Manesar, India. The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience and be proficient in advanced CAD tools and automotive industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of automotive plastic parts with expertise in CATIA and NX platforms.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in design specifications.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices to optimize product manufacturability.
• Drive processes related to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and coordinate effectively with OEM partners.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile, Production and Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of six years of relevant experience in automotive plastic part design.
• Demonstrated expertise in CAD tools such as CATIA and NX.
• Deep understanding of GD&T concepts and experience with quality improvement frameworks like APQP and PPAP.
• Ability to manage BOM and maintain seamless coordination with OEM teams.
