About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join our expanding team at Whippet. In this role, you will enjoy considerable creative autonomy while collaborating with leading retail clients throughout the UK. You will lead on various projects involving campaigns, point-of-sale materials, branding, print, digital media, and more. Ideally, you are a versatile designer with strong conceptual abilities, proven project experience, excellent typography and layout expertise, and exceptional multitasking skills.

Our talented team of 30 includes professionals in Creative, Strategy, and Client Services who work together to produce compelling marketing designs. We primarily serve the retail sector, offering a fast-paced and varied work environment with collaboration among passionate, motivated, and creative individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client briefs and develop compelling, high-impact design concepts
• Lead client projects with significant creative freedom
• Create innovative concepts and big ideas for retail campaigns
• Collaborate closely with Design Directors to craft creative concepts for brand identities, seasonal campaigns, print, digital, and in-store point of sale materials
• Present design solutions to high-profile UK retail clients such as M&S Food, M&S Bank, Holland & Barrett, Bensons for Beds, Frankie & Benny’s, Iceland, Tesco Mobile, among others
• Work collaboratively with Client Services, Copywriting, and creative teams through all project phases
• Mentor and inspire conceptual thinking and creative growth among mid-weight and junior design staff
