Role overview
A well-established public practice accounting firm in Perth CBD is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to support a varied client base with their everyday finance functions. The firm provides accounting, tax, and business advisory services, and this role sits at the centre of client bookkeeping and compliance work.
Key duties
- Handle bookkeeping across a broad portfolio of clients.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Carry out bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit BAS, IAS, and payroll-related lodgements.
- Manage payroll processing, superannuation, and STP requirements.
- Support month-end reporting and maintain complete, accurate financial records.
About the ideal candidate
- Experience in bookkeeping within a public practice accounting environment.
- Solid working knowledge of BAS, IAS, payroll, and reconciliation processes.
- Comfort working with several client entities at once.
- Strong planning and organisational ability with a close eye for detail.
- Clear communication skills and a client-service mindset.
Systems used
This role involves working with Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Excel.
