Senior Architecture Engineer

About the Company

We are currently looking for a seasoned Senior Architecture Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal professional will bring extensive expertise in overseeing architectural site supervision for expansive mixed-use projects encompassing commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, office, and urban development sectors. This role demands ensuring that all architectural efforts comply fully with approved plans, specifications, quality benchmarks, and contract obligations.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and inspecting architectural construction activities on-site, assuring adherence to approved designs and project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality. This position requires strong technical knowledge, effective collaboration with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to troubleshoot site challenges to guarantee successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee architectural construction activities to ensure strict compliance with approved plans, specifications, contractual agreements, and scheduled milestones.
• Track daily construction progress and liaise closely with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups, and architectural method statements.
• Perform frequent site inspections to confirm workmanship quality and adherence to project specifications and pertinent codes.
• Collaborate with structural, MEP, civil, and landscaping teams to ensure cohesive integration of architectural works.
• Identify and address construction or technical challenges by coordinating with design teams to devise timely, practical solutions.
• Monitor project timelines, detect possible delays early, and advise remedial measures to keep the schedule on track.
• Inspect finalized works, prepare detailed snag and punch lists, and confirm proper correction of any defects prior to project handover.
• Participate in site coordination, progress meetings, and client inspections, offering technical insight and project status updates.
• Ensure all construction activities comply rigorously with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Review contractor progress, assess workmanship quality, and verify conformity with project requirements and contract conditions.
• Generate comprehensive site inspection, progress, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), along with other essential documentation.
• Assist Project Manager and Resident Engineer in achieving project delivery goals on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality levels.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a correlated field.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in architectural site supervision roles.
• Demonstrated track record overseeing large-scale mixed-use development projects, such as commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, office, and urban projects.
• In-depth understanding of construction practices, architectural details, finishing processes, building materials, and quality assurance protocols.
• Good knowledge of international building codes, local statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with design and construction software including AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and project management tools is beneficial.
