The Team and Role
The Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics position is within the Airbnb for RealEstate (A4RE) team. The role aims to support Product and Business Operations by unlocking growth in hosting within Multifamily buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic data partner for product and business leaders by delivering insights and enabling informed decision-making based on data.
- Advance Airbnb's Analytics and Data Science capabilities through promoting best data practices, creating new analytical tools and datasets, and contributing to company-wide data education and mentorship.
- Lead daily analytics tasks and build scalable data tools and pipelines collaboratively with Data Engineering teams.
- Design and maintain metrics and dimensions to support comprehensive analysis and improve understanding of partner tool usage to boost host engagement.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and cross-functional teams to create a unified attribution and measurement platform for assessing product, sales, and marketing impacts.
- Partner with Business Leads to design and evaluate offline experiments, including A/B testing and quasi-experimental approaches.
- Create high-quality ground truth datasets and dashboards to facilitate rapid data queries, working with engineering teams to deploy scalable tools for broad consumption within the A4RE group.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience and a degree in quantitative disciplines such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at engaging with diverse and cross-functional internal teams and able to explain complex statistical analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to partner with teams to translate analytics into business actions and provide expertise on measurement and experimental design.
- Experience conceptualizing, designing, and developing metrics with corresponding data pipelines and prototypes.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and distributed data technologies like Spark, Presto, or Hive.
- Expertise in at least one data analysis programming language such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with Tableau is highly desirable.
Location and Work Environment
This position is remote within the United States, requiring that the candidate resides in a state where Airbnb has a registered entity. Occasional office visits or offsites may be required as agreed with management, with ongoing updates to eligible states.

Compensation and Benefits
The offered salary range for this position is $136,000 to $160,000 USD, subject to various factors including experience and market conditions. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits.
