Job Overview

The Security Officer will play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of company premises by performing patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, controlling access, and responding to incidents. This position requires diligent reporting of security irregularities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting emergency responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine surveillance patrols to ensure the premises are secure and orderly.
• Operate and monitor CCTV cameras for suspicious or unauthorized activities.
• Respond immediately to alarms and investigate incidents to maintain security.
• Manage access points to permit authorized personnel entry only.
• Document and report all irregularities, breaches, or safety risks to protect company property.
• Complete accurate and timely incident and activity reports.
• Implement and uphold company security protocols and procedures.
• Assist in emergency situations and incident handling as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors or department heads.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education qualification of GCE N Levels, O Levels, or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Security (PLRD) Licence is mandatory.
• At least three years of relevant experience in security roles, preferably in guardhouse or site-based positions.
• Good knowledge of security and safety procedures, with strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to remain composed in emergencies.
