Role Overview

We are currently looking to add committed, dependable, and customer-oriented Security Guards and Mobile Patrol Specialists to our growing team. This full-time, on-site role offers adaptable scheduling options including part-time, casual, and on-call shifts, based in Toronto and Barrie, Ontario. As a representative of Prodigy Security Services, you will help maintain a secure, safe, and welcoming space for clients, employees, and visitors.

Primary Duties

• Perform routine foot patrols and mobile inspections of properties.
• Oversee premises, entry points, and surveillance devices to prevent unauthorized activities.
• Manage site access by checking IDs and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond immediately to alarms, breaches, and emergencies.
• Professionally de-escalate conflicts and enforce site rules.
• Compile thorough and precise daily logs and incident documentation.
• Provide outstanding customer service while embodying the company’s standards.

Mandatory Licensing and Requirements

• Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Completion of required ministry training and passing the Ontario ministry examination.
• Successful clearance of a comprehensive criminal background check.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or substantial customer service is highly regarded.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is strongly preferred.
• Having a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle is advantageous for mobile and multi-location assignments.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills; capable of producing professional incident reports.
• Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
• Flexible availability, willing to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong observation capabilities, sound judgment under pressure, and effective conflict resolution skills.
