Role Overview

The Security Analyst will be embedded with one of Pinkerton's enterprise clients to actively monitor open-source intelligence (OSINT) platforms and data streams. The goal is to identify potential threats to company sites, traveling staff, and vehicle fleets, enhancing overall security protocols. The analyst contributes to threat research, risk evaluation, incident management, and the improvement of risk mitigation strategies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Uphold Pinkerton's principles of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Continuously monitor OSINT software and various public sources to detect risks affecting facilities, employees on the move, and the company vehicle fleet.
• Research and analyze identified risks and issue timely alerts to relevant stakeholders.
• Support Security Dispatchers with daily security operations as needed.
• React promptly to real-time alerts by assessing their validity and relevance to client safety.
• Gather, evaluate, and share intelligence supporting response plans based on threat credibility and probability.
• Maintain clear and calm communication with team members and management during incidents, documenting event details accurately.
• Log security incidents affecting fleets within incident management systems using proper grammar and spelling for situational awareness and escalation.
• Collaborate effectively across teams, including fleet operations, in a dynamic environment.
• Contribute to the creation and enhancement of risk management procedures and protocols.
• Conduct monitoring of security systems for emergency and routine events, manage event dispatch, send alerts via mass communication systems.
• Maintain and process standard operating procedures, emergency plans, logs, and reports.
• Recommend improvements to controls and processes after analysis.
• Adhere to SOPs and playbooks for threat analysis; provide feedback for ongoing enhancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or 3 to 5 years' experience in a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or similar national security/criminal intelligence analysis role.
• Proven experience conducting detailed threat research and trend analysis.
• Proficiency with OSINT methodologies, including usage of search engines, social media monitoring, website and public records analysis.
• Knowledge of incident response workflows: identification, triage, escalation, and recovery.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong ethical standards respecting data privacy and confidentiality.
• Capability to collaborate with SOC teams, management, and cross-functional departments effectively.
• Keen eagerness to learn and adapt with evolving autonomous vehicle security landscapes.
• Stays composed and focused during security incidents and emergencies.
• Resilient, self-driven, and motivated approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Analytical skills with problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective multitasking and organizational skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions

• Requires regular computer use and occasional reaching, lifting small items, and handling office equipment.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking involved.
• Travel may be necessary as part of job duties.
