Role Overview
This full-time remote Scrum Master position is responsible for guiding Agile delivery practices and helping development teams perform at a high level at Ori Essence Beauty. The role manages daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives so that each meeting stays productive and focused on outcomes.
The Scrum Master will assist with writing, refining, and monitoring user stories, clear blockers that slow the team down, and maintain an organized, prioritized backlog. The position also includes coaching team members on Scrum methods, partnering with product owners and stakeholders, tracking sprint progress, and using metrics and analysis to improve delivery and product quality. In addition, the role supports strong communication across teams and helps build a workplace culture centered on transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the team in creating, refining, and tracking user stories and maintaining a well-prioritized backlog.
- Remove obstacles that prevent the team from delivering work efficiently.
- Coach team members on Agile and Scrum practices to strengthen team effectiveness.
- Work closely with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders to keep delivery aligned.
- Monitor sprint performance and apply insights from data and metrics to improve outcomes.
- Encourage clear communication, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Help teams improve product quality and delivery through ongoing process enhancements.
Requirements
- Strong background in Agile and Scrum, with hands-on experience running sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Experience managing user stories, backlog prioritization, and collaboration with product owners and cross-functional teams.
- Good analytical ability to review metrics, spot patterns, and support data-driven improvements in team performance.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for productive interactions with team members and stakeholders.
- Understanding of software development workflows and the product development lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering and product teams.
- Preferred certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Experience in remote, distributed teams and comfort using digital collaboration tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience in Agile project delivery.
