About the Role

CQUniversity is looking for a dedicated Scheduling Officer to become a part of the Education Scheduling team based in Rockhampton, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing scheduling tasks that are critical to the university's education delivery on a national scale. You will help produce and publish timetables for classes, intensive courses, apprentice and trainee blocks, and examinations across various campuses, ensuring compliance and quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduling duties within deadline-driven environments.
  • Offer clear guidance on scheduling policies and procedures to staff and students.
  • Collaborate with the Students Directorate and university staff to achieve scheduling excellence.
  • Help resolve timetable-related challenges impacting staff and students.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in using information systems, email, web browsers, Microsoft software, and customer relationship management systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills combined with prior administrative experience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and process improvements.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented approach with ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively to meet targets.

Additional Information

  • This is a continuing, full-time position classified at Higher Education Worker Level 4.
  • The salary package ranges from $91,663 to $96,819 per annum, including a base salary of $77,457 to $81,814 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
  • The role is based onsite at the CQUniversity Rockhampton campus.
  • Applicants must have full work rights in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Pre-employment screening includes National Police Check, Working with Children Check where applicable, and verification against 'fit and proper person' criteria.
