Overview
MAC.BID specializes in acquiring truckloads of customer returns and overstock merchandise, which it then sells individually through online auctions. The Scanline Floater role involves preparing products for scanning, processing them, and organizing scanned items appropriately. This role reports directly to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess incoming products for visible defects.
- Classify products into categories such as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
- Conduct basic electronic testing to evaluate product condition.
- Transfer products onto conveyor belts for scanning.
- Promptly remove scanned items from the scan zone.
- Organize and shelve products in bays according to auction and lot numbers.
- Contribute to achieving team quantity and quality objectives.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and clearing trash from empty bays and scan areas.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be available to work on-site; shifts typically span Monday through Saturday with 8-hour schedules including a 30-minute lunch, hours vary per workload and management discretion.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Comfortable using technology and following written protocols.
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking periods.
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
