Position Overview

The Sanitation Associate on the 2nd shift (4 PM - 12 AM) plays a vital role in upholding cleanliness and organization within processing facilities. Working closely under the Manufacturing Supervisor and sanitation management, this individual ensures strict adherence to sanitation protocols, use of chemicals and equipment, and collaborates with edibles production and quality assurance teams to maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Key Duties

• Manage chemical usage, safety practices, and equipment operation related to sanitation.
• Execute cleaning schedules ensuring timely and adequate completion of tasks.
• Maintain logs for supply consumption and notify supervisors of any facility damages or irregularities.
• Strictly follow company health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Support other departments as needed to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in sanitation within food production or food service settings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks quickly while maintaining quality.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and capable of consistently high performance.
• Effective communication skills with customer-oriented and friendly demeanor.
• Flexible team player able to assist across multiple departments.

Additional Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old (18 in CT, PA, WV).
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs to 5 feet height and transport that weight at least 50 feet, with or without assistance.
• Capable of standing for long durations, climbing ladders, stairs, and performing various physical movements like kneeling and reaching.
• Comfortable handling organic materials, wearing PPE, and tolerating environmental conditions such as heat (95+ degrees), cold, wetness, or wind while wearing protective gear.
• Visual acuity sufficient for detailed inspection and computer use during day and night.
• Effective verbal communication amid moderate noise levels.
