Position Overview
The Sales Director at SOLJETS will lead aircraft brokerage and purchasing initiatives within the United States and other approved territories. Responsibilities include originating new business, nurturing long-term client relationships, and managing client representation throughout all transaction phases. Close collaboration with Sales Analysts and other internal teams ensures a superior client journey from engagement to closure.
Responsibilities
- Craft and implement a personal business development plan to meet yearly sales targets and expand market presence.
- Work alongside Sales Analysts to prepare proposals, market analyses, aircraft valuations, and client presentation documents.
- Manage an active sales pipeline, track critical performance metrics, and proactively guide opportunities through the sales process.
- Discover and pursue new market opportunities with strategic plans to enhance market penetration.
- Provide exceptional client service fostering repeat business, referrals, and sustained relationships.
- Coordinate with marketing to design targeted lead-generating campaigns and heighten brand visibility.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with aircraft stakeholders and industry partners, including owners, operators, family offices, OEMs, lenders, and maintenance providers.
- Represent SOLJETS at industry gatherings, trade shows, client engagements, and networking events to boost company presence and acquire new clients.
- Stay current on market dynamics, competitor moves, and industry trends impacting private aviation.
- Analyze customer data and market feedback to detect emerging trends and fine-tune sales strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of aircraft valuations, market stock, ownership patterns, and competitive offerings.
- Oversee business development and client entertainment budgets ensuring efficient return on investment aligned with sales objectives.
- Keep precise sales forecasts, CRM data, and pipeline reports to support corporate planning and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with multiple departments including Sales Analysts, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and leadership to guarantee smooth transaction processes and superior client satisfaction.
- Provide routine updates to leadership on sales pipeline statuses, market intelligence, transaction progress, and overall sales outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with proven achievements in business development, sales, private aviation, or an allied sector.
- Demonstrated success in sales or business development roles, ideally within private or business aviation, charter services, aircraft maintenance, or luxury markets.
- Deep understanding of private aviation operations, aircraft ownership, and business aircraft sales transactions.
- Highly self-driven with entrepreneurial spirit capable of independently generating business opportunities while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills key to forming strong client bonds and negotiation capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales metrics and market trends guiding strategic sales decisions.
- Flexible to travel within assigned regions as needed to meet with clients and provide sales support.
