Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Sales Assistant will work full-time, on-site in Bhubaneswar, serving as the primary interface between customers and the showroom. Key duties include greeting visitors, identifying their requirements, and advising them on product selections across various decor categories. Responsibilities involve conveying detailed information regarding products, creating quotations, maintaining accurate records of all customer communications, and facilitating sales follow-up and order processing. This role also requires collaborating with internal teams to check stock levels, maintain display areas, and perform basic merchandising tasks to ensure an attractive and well-organized showroom environment. The Sales Assistant will help meet sales targets while upholding excellent customer service and professionalism.
Candidate Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build customer trust and provide consistent support throughout the purchasing process.
- Clear communication abilities to describe product features, pricing, and options effectively to diverse clients.
- A sales-driven attitude focused on helping complete transactions and achieving showroom sales objectives.
- Good organizational capabilities to handle inquiries, follow-ups, documentation, and coordinate with teams.
- Familiarity with or an interest in home decor, building materials, or interior design is beneficial.
- Competence with standard office and point-of-sale software for processing payments and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina to stand and move around the showroom for extended periods and assist with visual merchandising.
- Previous experience in retail sales, showroom assistance, or customer service roles is advantageous yet not compulsory.
