Safety Officer - 12 Months Contract

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager or Specialist in examining and resolving safety reports and investigating incidents related to Emirates' staff, equipment, aircraft, and facilities in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Collect and coordinate operational data needed for formal safety investigations and work with relevant departments to gather timely documentation and feedback.
• Review investigation outcomes alongside management and ensure recommendations for corrective and preventive actions are effectively communicated and implemented.
• Partner with Safety Promotions and other stakeholders to create training content and execute safety awareness campaigns to enhance staff understanding of safety procedures.
• Analyze safety-related data comprehensively and prepare statistical reports highlighting key trends and incidents for management review.
• Guide operational units in assessing hazards and risks within their areas to promote proactive safety management.
• Maintain current expertise in the Safety Management System and other critical safety procedures through ongoing specialized training, ensuring optimal support and advice to operational teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working as Cabin Crew.
• 5 years of direct involvement with Safety Management Systems.
• Completed 12 years of schooling or equivalent educational attainment.
• Proficient written English communication skills.
• Well-versed in safety management principles including investigation methodologies, human factors, risk evaluation, and safety reporting tools.
• Familiarity with airline operations, modern aircraft configurations, and relevant technologies.
