Job Summary

The Route Driver delivers products over a pre-determined route using a company vehicle, services and stocks vending machines, and maintains equipment. Serving as the company’s representative, this role requires projecting a positive and professional image while developing strong client relationships. The position offers excellent potential for growth towards management roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory and distribute products to vending machines.
• Conduct product rotation to ensure freshness at client sites.
• Deliver high levels of client and customer satisfaction.
• Inform clients about new products or services and address service issues.
• Set up merchandise and promotional displays and distribute promotional materials.
• Manage receipts, invoices, delivery documentation, cash collection, and product accountability.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license, compliant with local state requirements.
• Preferably 1-2 years of customer service experience or at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to use handheld computer devices; training will be provided.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability or willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment such as box trucks and handcarts.
• Strong independent work ethic; able to manage assigned route and work unsupervised for the majority of the day.

Working Schedule and Location

The position is full time, Monday through Friday, with variable hours to be discussed during the interview process. This role is based at Canteen’s Bessemer, AL location at 5551 Parkwest Drive, Suite 185.
