Job Summary
Wood Australia is inviting experienced Riggers and Scaffolders to submit expressions of interest for roles based in the Surat Basin, western Queensland. These positions involve applying your skills in rigging, slinging, lifting, or scaffolding to ensure all tasks meet safety and quality standards.
Work Details
- Positions available include casual and permanent opportunities with DIDO, FIFO, or local arrangements.
- Work schedule follows a 15/13 roster with 10-hour shifts, five days a week at normal hours.
- Offers include a competitive base pay rate with casual loading on all working hours, plus overtime and site allowance.
- Accommodation is provided for workers traveling from distant locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rigging operations supporting crane activities, including safe slinging and moving of loads.
- Perform scaffolding tasks involving erection and dismantling of various scaffold types such as system, tube and clip, including standard, hanging, and cantilevered scaffolds.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and contributes to the wellbeing of yourself and team members.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, demonstrating clear and proficient communication skills.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven site experience in oil & gas or industrial sectors.
- Hold current high-risk licenses relevant to scaffolding and rigging.
- Possess relevant tickets: Working at Heights (WAH), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and scaffolding qualifications at Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced levels.
- Rigging qualifications at Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced levels.
- Successful candidates must undergo a Wood medical examination and provide certificates and tickets before this process.
- Applicants must have full legal work rights in Australia.
