Retail Training Trainee

About the Role

CELINE, a distinguished French luxury brand known for its timeless collections, is seeking a Retail Training Trainee to join their team on a temporary basis in New York City. This role is ideal for those passionate about luxury products, education, and communication within a dynamic and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop seasonal collection training materials.
• Create engaging video content and assist in designing training modules.
• Manage onboarding programs and facilitate in-person training sessions.
• Monitor and report on weekly coaching participation by leadership.
• Track and update mystery shopping score progress.
• Ensure digital learning activities are completed by stores through follow-ups and weekly reporting.
• Oversee training progress for new employees and track monthly training hours delivered by the retail training team.
• Update and maintain weekly learning curriculum for store staff.
• Continuously refresh onboarding resources and communicate updates to store leaders welcoming new hires.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Between 1 to 2 years of internship or professional experience preferred.
• Strong passion for luxury products with an appreciation for design aesthetics.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in software tools such as MS Office Suite and Canva.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
• Empathy and strong listening skills.
• Creativity and relationship-building capabilities.
• Previous experience in fashion or retail sales is advantageous.
• Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus.
