About the Role
We are seeking a Retail Assistant for checkouts to join our Woolworths Supermarkets team in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. Our organisation operates over 185 stores and employs 20,000 staff across New Zealand, dedicated to enhancing the everyday lives of Kiwis through excellent service and a welcoming shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately process customer transactions during checkout with a friendly approach.
- Create a positive and memorable shopping experience for every customer.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and standards in all activities.
- Assist with cash management tasks including banking, reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure store areas are clean, well-organised, and conform to safety and uniform requirements.
- Offer constructive feedback to help improve customer service and store operations.
Candidate Profile
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a welcoming, approachable attitude.
- Work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong cash handling skills.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.
