Restaurant Captain

Job Overview

We are looking for a Restaurant Captain to manage the daily operations of our food service establishment in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The role requires overseeing the restaurant's functions ensuring excellent service and smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant activities, guaranteeing efficient and smooth service delivery.
• Lead and manage the team, including servers, kitchen crew, and other support staff.
• Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback to maintain a positive dining experience.
• Oversee inventory management by ordering and replenishing supplies as required.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards within the restaurant.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees, providing continuous guidance and feedback.
• Maintain high quality standards for service and presentation consistently.
• Create and manage staff work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage during peak periods.
• Organize regular meetings with staff to review performance and resolve any workplace issues.
• Contribute to promotional campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: 10th Pass.
• 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role, preferably within Chaayos.
• Strong leadership capabilities and team management expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and issues.
• Good knowledge of restaurant operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software and related tools.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
