The current short-term need spans from October 2026 to January 2027, with additional opportunities possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and carry out research projects from initial hypothesis through dissemination using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches.
  • Conduct literature reviews and consult with sponsors/stakeholders to guide study design and objectives.
  • Create study materials such as protocols, consent forms, surveys, and data collection instruments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement observational studies using real-world data and survey methods.
  • Manage recruitment, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), data handling, and study monitoring when relevant.
  • Perform or assist with data analysis and interpret research outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver research plans, progress summaries, and findings presentations to various audiences.
  • Draft, revise, and contribute to scientific documents including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and reports suitable for publication.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with investigators, sponsors, and research collaborators.
  • Stay informed on best practices in observational and patient-focused research, Good Clinical Practice, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Undertake other research-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, health services research, psychology, sociology, or related health/social science.
  • At least two years of experience in conducting observational, qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing research including literature reviews, protocol development, consent processes, survey creation, data analysis, interpretation, and dissemination.
  • Familiarity with human subjects regulations and IRB procedures.
  • Strong skills in scientific writing, communication, and presenting research findings.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience includes working with research sponsors, healthcare entities, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience specific to diabetes research and patient-reported outcomes is desirable.
