Role Overview
Are you skilled in evaluating value and risk, with a passion for advising and educating? We are seeking an Associate Research Analyst focused on the Building Materials and Steel sector to join our Australian Equities Research team based in Sydney. Your role will involve conducting valuation analyses, converting sector insights into clear investment opinions, constructing and maintaining financial models, delivering investment recommendations, and staying updated with market trends to guide strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform valuation analyses with emphasis on the Building Materials and Steel industry.
- Translate deep industry knowledge into clear and actionable investment views.
- Develop and update sophisticated financial models to analyze historical data and project future performance.
- Offer investment advice based on thorough modeling, valuation techniques, and risk evaluation.
- Continuously monitor market developments to inform investment strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably over 3 years’ experience in financial sell-side research, accounting, consulting, or materials sector.
- Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed financial valuation models.
- Skilled in analyzing annual reports and financial statements.
- Effective and confident communicator, capable of conveying fundamental investment perspectives both verbally and in writing.
- Curious, well-organized, and self-reliant.
