Remote Sensing Specialist

Job Summary

PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk - Noodle Division is seeking a Remote Sensing Specialist for their Palembang, South Sumatra operations. This full-time, remote position involves managing and implementing remote sensing programs to support the company's sustainability practices. The role requires a strong analytical and technical background in remote sensing technologies, with experience in data analysis, UAV operation, and cross-departmental collaboration. The specialist will be responsible for end-to-end program management, data interpretation for decision-making, and ensuring effective utilization of remote sensing technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee remote sensing initiatives to bolster the company's sustainability efforts.
• Develop, execute, and track remote sensing programs from inception to completion.
• Process and analyze remote sensing data to inform strategic business decisions.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate data into business and sustainability strategies.
• Operate and manage both Fixed Wing and Multi Rotor UAVs for data acquisition.
• Ensure the effective and accurate application of remote sensing technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) or higher in Forestry, Geography, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in remote sensing technologies and methodologies.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as ENVI, ERDAS, Mission Planner, and QGIS.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring remote sensing programs.
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience in the palm oil or rubber plantation industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to work sites for official duties.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Indonesian.

Eligibility

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Forestry, Geography, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields, possessing at least 1 year of experience in remote sensing and proficiency in relevant software. Experience in the palm oil or rubber industry is advantageous. Must be fluent in English and Indonesian and willing to travel.
