Relief Doorman

Job Summary

A property management firm is looking to hire an experienced temporary doorman for a luxury residential property in New York, NY.

What You’ll Do

• Support residents by coordinating requests such as deliveries and repair-related access.
• Welcome, screen, and guide visitors to the correct areas of the building.
• Interact with residents and guests, answer questions about building policies, and respond to urgent situations such as fire alarms or medical incidents.
• Receive parcels and oversee their proper distribution to tenants.
• Use building security tools, including CCTV systems and intercoms.
• Protect the entrance by checking identification and permits for outside contractors entering the property.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment by enforcing building rules around noise, pets, disruptive conduct, and similar issues.
• Provide front-desk style assistance, including help with luggage, mail, and deliveries.

Requirements

• Strong command of English is required.
• Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
• Prior experience in a similar role is needed.
• Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Should have a solid record of reliability and responsibility at work.
