GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking dedicated Recycling Sorters to join their newest and largest Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located in Edmonton, Alberta. This position involves efficiently sorting various recyclable materials while delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- Strong dedication to environmental conservation
- Capability to work in physically demanding conditions, including prolonged standing and moderate lifting
- Keen attention to detail with rapid and accurate identification of recyclable materials
- Effective communication skills and a cooperative team-oriented approach
Key Responsibilities
- Sort incoming waste streams to separate materials such as paper, glass, plastics, and metals
- Maintain quality by excluding contaminants and ensuring only appropriate materials enter the recycling process
- Comply with all safety rules to maintain a hazard-free workplace
- Operate and upkeep sorting equipment when required
