Position Overview
A prominent main building contractor based in Dublin is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers an ambitious and commercially focused professional the chance to work on a variety of high-profile projects spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use sectors. The company is recognized for consistently delivering quality projects and maintaining a strong pipeline of work.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee project costs and budgets during the entire project lifecycle.
- Prepare and assess subcontractor packages along with procurement scheduling.
- Evaluate and administer subcontractor payments accurately.
- Prepare valuations, manage variations, and finalize accounts.
- Track project expenses and provide reports on financial performance.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
- Assist with contract administration and ensure adherence to contract conditions.
- Work closely with site and project management teams to meet project goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related fields.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in roles such as a main contractor, developer, or consultancy.
- Strong commercial insight coupled with analytical capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of construction contracts and cost control methods.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic work environment.
